Mariposa Festival Favourite Back For Encore Performance!

Four-time 2016 Maple Blues nominee Samantha Martin and Delta Sugar are returning to Orillia with their mix of blues and soul that wowed Mariposa Festival goers in 2016.

“We are delighted to bring Samantha and Delta Sugar back to Orillia for the first Echoes of Mariposa concert of the season,” Mariposa in Concert Chair and Artistic Director Alexandria Taylor said.

The concert takes place on Friday, November 18 at the Best Western Mariposa Inn, 400 Memorial Drive. Doors open at 7:15 p.m. and the show starts at 8 p.m. Ticket prices, which now include all processing fees and taxes, are $28 advance and $32 at the door. They can be purchased online at www.mariposafolk.com or at the Mariposa Folk Foundation office, 10 Peter Street South in downtown Orillia.

Samantha Martin and Delta Sugar serve up a mix of blues and soul as strong as vintage southern bourbon. With her raw, passionate vocals, songwriter Martin can conjure the joy of a soaring heart or the pain of a love that’s torn and broken. Co-vocalists Sherie Marshall and Stacie Tabb complete an unforgettable vocal package. Four Time Maple Blues Award Nominee in 2016.

Opening for Samantha Martin and Delta Sugar is Canadian folk and country artist Zachary Lucky, who performed at the 2014 Mariposa Folk Festival. “He (Zachary Lucky) sings of Canadian places and people… It’s a relatable show on many levels, and conjures universal feelings that have passed through our collective timelines.”  – Exclaim!
