On June the 8th 1984, Siouxsie and the Banshees released the album ‘Hyæna’

Siouxsie and the Banshees released their sixth studio album ‘Hyæna’ on this day in 1984. The band continued to use producer Mike Hedges (The Cure) for ‘Hyæna’, they also had Robert Smith of The Cure write and record on the record. When the album was released in the U.S. they included the Beatles cover “Dear Prudence” which previously had become their biggest selling single in the UK.
