OMD’s third album ‘Architecture & Morality’ which was released on November the 8th 1981 defined the 1980’s electropop genre with it’s cool clean hooks and crisp vocals, John Doran of The Quietus described the record as “astonishing”, and asserted:

“There isn’t a note out of place on Architecture & Morality…this is one of the finest 1980s pop albums.”
