It was on October the 28, 1983 that former Haircut 100 frontman Nick Heyward released his debut solo album ‘North of a Miracle’. The album was recorded from May 19, 1983 – July 6, 1983 at Abbey Road Studios in London. The album was produced by Geoff Emerick who is best known for his work with The Beatles. ‘North of a Miracle’ gave us four singles ‘’Whistle Down the Wind’’, ‘’Take That Situation’’, ‘’Blue Hat for a Blue Day’’ and ‘’On a Sunday’’.

On a personal note ‘North of a Miracle’ ranks right up near the top in my favourite pop albums of all-time.
