Ministry’s first stab at a more industrial sounding album ‘The Land of Rape and Honey’ was released on October the 11th 1988. *The album title comes from the slogan of Tisdale, Saskatchewan, whose motto is “The Land of Rape and Honey”, the local economy being based on the agricultural products rapeseed and honey.  The band chose the name after seeing the slogan on a souvenir mug. Al Jourgensen  and Paul Barker were the primary members at this point in Ministry’s journey with Paul leaving the band in 2004. mgid uma content mtv.com 509046
