Jane’s Addiction’s ‘Nothing’s Shocking’ was released on this day in 1988

– Released on August 23rd, 1988

– Singles released: “Jane Says”, “Mountain Song” and “Ocean Size”

– Nine out of the eleven leading record store chains refused to carry Nothing’s Shocking, and the record had to be issued covered with brown paper.

– Flea from the Red Hot Chili Peppers played trumpet and Angelo Moore from Fishbone played saxophone.
