Desert Island Songs: Spoons – “Romantic Traffic”

It’s been a few weeks since I posted one of my “Desert Island Songs” so I figured it was spoonssandyabout time for another installment. What can I say about the Spoons; they were and still are  one of my favourite bands, their songs from this era take me back to that time when I was still just a kid who had not been burdened by the woes of life, so when I need that break I put them on and back I go. For me the song and the video for “Romantic Traffic” have always went hand in hand, just the sights of Toronto from the early 1980s again makes me feel almost comfortable….Rob, Gord, Sandy and Derrick, thanks for giving me a place to go to when things get to crazy.

I so agree with everything you say about the Spoons….This is an amazing band and every time I hear them (Have every album) I go back to a much, much better time when worries were so few and far in between……
